How colors are picked

The image is scaled down and similar shades are grouped together, so tiny variations from lighting and compression do not produce dozens of near-identical colors. The colors covering the most area are listed first, with their percentage share.

Transparent pixels are ignored, so a logo on a transparent background is analyzed by its visible colors only.

Using the palette

The most common color is often a background, so the accent you are looking for may be further down the list. For an exact color at a specific spot, use the Image Color Picker instead.

Copy the HEX codes into your design tool or CSS to build a theme that matches a photo, a brand image, or a mood board.
