Counting days correctly
By default the calculator counts the days from the start date up to the end date, the way most date tools and programming languages do: from Monday to Tuesday is one day. Turn on Count the end date too for inclusive counts, such as a hotel stay or a booking where both the first and last day count.
Business days count Monday to Friday. Public holidays are not excluded because they differ by country and employer, so subtract them yourself for deadlines that skip holidays.
Months and years
Long spans are also shown in years, months, and days, which is how contract lengths and ages are usually described. Months have different lengths, so 31 days can be 1 month and 0 days or 1 month and 3 days depending on the dates.
Dates are calculated in your local time zone, so daylight saving changes do not shift the result by a day.
